A coastal fog over Houston halted Braniff flights, forcing two planes to circle above the municipal airport for hours. One four engined plane carrying 24 passengers from Galveston landed in Galveston at 10:21 a.m. after failing to land in Houston. A Dallas bound flight with 35 occupants remained aloft and later landed in Galveston at 10 a.m. The fog resulted in no takeoffs or landings for more than 12 hours, airport officials said.
