Three two vehicle collisions occurred in Mexia during the holiday period. At Commerce and Bonham streets Warren Oren Fisher Sr. drove a 1965 Rambler and Emmett Massey a 1961 Oldsmobile, both of Mexia. A second crash in the 900 block of Milam Street involved Ricky Trice of Mexia in a 1970 Plymouth and Ted Starnes of Hallettsville in a 1963 Buick. The third collision in the 700 block of East Milam involved Michael Seale of Teague in a 1969 Volkswagen and Jenny Pat Schuh of Mexia in a 1968 Chevrolet. No injuries were reported.

Teague Man Injured As Car Overturns
A Teague man is listed in fairly good condition at General Mexia Hospital after a one vehicle wreck on Christmas morning near Mexia. Johnny Crundwell, driving east in a Corvette on Highway 84, lost control and overturned. He suffered bruises and a broken right arm and was transported by Corley-Poster ambulance.
