Three American mothers Ruth Redmond John Downey and Philip Fedleau will depart New York on New Year's Day for a visit to sons jailed by the Communists in Shanghai. Redmond's son Hugh is serving life for spying while Downey and Fedleau, civilian U S Army workers, were sentenced to life after similar charges. The mothers say they will take essentials and hope for a short meeting amid wartime tension.

Shock device revives woman after near death on Christmas
