Nine injured when a passenger train named the oil field special struck a heavy switch engine in Wortham yards at 7 30 pm Tuesday. Engineer Ledbetter broke a leg and was taken to Southern Pacific hospital Ennis. Mrs Maudie Vastine owner of Matdies Barber Shop Mexia badly bruised and taken to Brown Hospital Mexia. a relief train moved the crippled engine to Ennis shops. The seven other passengers sustained minor injuries after emergency treatment.
