Wreck near Groesbeck injures few as 9 cars derail
A southbound train on the H T C plunged into the ditch about a mile south of Groesbeck. Several cars overturned though no serious injuries were reported. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and traffic diverted as repairs began.

Mexia Officers Raid Building Arrest Man for Bootlegging
Mexia officers raided a West town building Sunday night and arrested Joe Henderson on bootlegging charges. Seven ounces of liquor, a pitcher and two drinking glasses were found under a counter.
