Santa Claus will visit the Mexia State School and Home on Christmas Eve for a party for 1,320 residents and students, funded by civic clubs, business firms, and citizens. O. F. Watkins of the Nowlin post American Legion said two truckloads of gifts were donated with more to come, and 810 residents plus 510 students will receive gifts and a Christmas tree celebration led by Dr. Wm. Thomas and staff tomorrow at 8 p.m. Major donors include Mexia Rotary, Lions, Wesleyan Guild, DAR, BPW, Tidwell Drug, Karner-Phillips, Belknap Grocery, Louis Altman Dry Goods, The Famous, H. L. Kidd, J. J. Riddie, Dillard, Mrs. Hughes, Central Texas Grocery, Berry-Barnett Grocery, Kendrick and Horn Drug, the Legion and its auxiliary.
