Services at First Methodist Church Mexia tomorrow at 10 with Rev E R Gordon officiating. Burial Lometa. Survived by husband four sons one daughter and three grandchildren. Funeral arrangements by Riddle Funeral Home. Born Tennessee November 18 1869. Married in Georgetown December 18 1887. The Rogers family operated Rogers Mercantile in Mexia since 1923.

Bandit Steals $206 in Tavern Robbery West of Mexia
A pistol wielding bandit robbed Doc Howard's tavern on U. S. Highway 84 near Mexia around 2 38 a m, tying the owner and stealing about $206 with nearly $100 in checks left behind. Sheriff Bill Green said two suspects were questioned in Waco but no arrest reported. The entry was likely through a window.
