Drunk Driving Charged After Mexia Wreck
A former Mexia resident is jailed on a $500 bond after a three-car wreck in Mexia at about 7 15 PM injuring no one. H J Robbins 30 of West Texas drove a 1950 Mercury into two parked cars at the First Methodist church on Commerce Street, then into a Buick owned by Mrs Pat Fain and into Mrs M T Flowers 1940 Chevrolet. The Mercury and Buick were near total losses. Robbins was treated at a hospital and released to his parents after being taken by Patrolman Bill Patten. He posted bond later and faces trial in January. Three other Limestone county residents were charged with intoxicated driving this week.

Trio of Youths Plead Guilty to Theft Charges
In Groesbeck Limestone County Court Judge Clarence Ferguson heard three youths admit to theft under 50 dollars. Marion Vaughan of Kansas City and Charles Sweeney and Radher Boring of Bremond faced charges for stealing auto batteries from George Smith of Mexia. Boring paid a 25 dollar fine. Vaughan and Sweeney serve jail at 3 dollars daily. all were arrested in Waco and turned over to Limestone authorities.
