W R Scott aged 65 of Houston Texas president of the Southern Pacific Lines of Texas and Louisiana died after a heart attack in the Los Angeles division office while talking with G E Gaylord superintendent. He had planned to spend Christmas in Berkeley with relatives and had made many coast visits. He was widely respected for leadership and kindness within the railroad system.
