Open House Program For New High School Monday Night
On Monday evening December 17 the new high school opens with a general reception from seven to eight. Teachers will meet visitors in their rooms, especially parents, to become acquainted with staff and work. At eight the program in the auditorium includes a Glee Club performance, brief addresses, a one act play, and calisthenic exhibit. Mrs Armstrong will host guests in the cafeteria after, promising to “put good taste in their mouths.”

About 250 people attended the Shrine Charity Minstrel at the Opera House last Thursday despite forecasts of a sold out night. The performance, led by Mrs. E M Strange, featured a large cast, music by the Elks Orchestra, and netted $100 for the Salvation Army with local charity funds directed to Mexia.
