California Train Crash injures several at Oroville station
Several persons were reported injured when the Western Pacific Exposition Flyer side swiped a local freight at Oroville depot. The engine overturned and baggage and Pullman cars were left crosswise on the tracks. A Wortham man identified as Glenn Taylor died in a Friday night head on collision about three and a half miles north of Mexia on Highway 14. Passenger from the death car, also a Wortham negro, was injured and taken to Mexia hospital. his condition was not fully known Saturday.
