Baylor biology students visit Strecker Museum
Mrs. Mildred Burleson’s fourth and sixth period biology classes visited Baylor University’s Strecker Museum last Monday. Dr. Bryce C. Kirk Nesbitt a Sam Houston State College graduate and former Scout Executive has become physical education teacher at Ross Avenue Elementary School. He earned a 1957 Bachelor of Science with physical education as his major and art as his minor. Nesbitt hails from Trinity. Young Scientist Nearly Loses Hand In Garage Explosion
Fifteen year old Jerry McBride and a friend were conducting a chemistry experiment in a home garage when a mixture exploded. The blast ripped through the garage injuring him as he escaped with his hand badly burned.
