Nationwide Weekend Weather Death Toll Reaches At Least 20

Icey winds and heavy snow across the Midwest and beyond caused at least 20 deaths in weekend weather accidents. Nine perished in plane crashes as the storm moved from the Rockies to the Great Lakes, bringing icy highways, downed lines, and widespread property damage.

Death of J L Thompson to be observed in Mexia

Funeral services for J L Thompson 84 will be held Tuesday at 2 30 pm from the Mexia funeral home chapel conducted by Rev A W De py and Rev E L R Guire. Local Negro Charged With Murder After Fatal Stabbing
