Willie M Brown Rodgers 57 of Groesbeck dies Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marlin. Funeral services set for today at 2 PM at Kibler Funeral Home Chapel Groesbeck with burial in Faulkenberry Cemetery. Survivors include wife Wilma two daughters two stepdaughters a stepson four sisters and four grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie M. Burnett 87 of Mexia were held Sunday at 3 PM at First Baptist Church Rogers with Rev. Shelby Jones officiating. Burial followed in McCann Cemetery Blair Stubbs Funeral Home arranged the services. She died Friday at General Mexia Hospital born March 31 1886 in Lincoln County Tennessee a resident of Mexia five years. Survivors include daughter Mrs. Tene Shivers Marlin son J H Hillyard Houston sister Mrs Roxie Petray Rogers and seven grandchildren including Mrs. Carol Moore Mexia who had lived with her.
Fort Lauderdale AP Gerald Schaefer, convicted murderer, says he still trusts his public defender Eton Schwarz who plans to marry Schaefer’s ex-wife Teresa Schaefer. Schwarz, 45, announced the engagement as he appeals Schaefer’s two life sentences.

Born November 7 1882 in Thornton. Member of Church of Christ.
