One of Limestone county's oldest residents died at his Prairie Grove home. Tom Parsons aged 96, a retired farmer, funeral held at Prairie Grove Baptist church with Rev. Howard Williams officiating. Interment at Prairie Grove cemetery. Survived by three sons, two daughters, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Parsons born January 20 1858 in Alabama, lived in Prairie Grove 46 years. He was a Baptist. Funeral home Corley in charge.

Four Women and Boy Injured in School Bus Crash
Twelve Mexia school children and seven adults were in two automobile collisions yesterday afternoon. A six-year-old boy, Ricky Simmons, suffered a broken thigh and severe injuries after being struck by a car driven by Mrs Jan Dillon near East Main and North Stoss. The Campbell sedan crashed into a Mexia school bus on U S 84 injuring Miss Martha Campbell and her mother Mrs George Campbell, both hospitalized with cuts and shock. None of the 11 children on the bus were hurt. The incidents occurred as students were returning home.

Change In Attitudes Said Needed For Highway Death Cut
A Texas Highway Patrol officer urged Mexia Rotariana to change public and individual attitudes to reduce the annual highway death toll. Police search today for a hit and run driver who may not know he killed three year old Lewis Ball as he played in Tyler Street under a large brown wrapping paper. Officers believe the child was beneath the paper when the vehicle passed over.
