Jailed for Refusing to Tell Whereabouts of Daughter
Fort Worth barber William Stone remained jailed in Fort Worth after Tuesday’s contempt ruling by District Judge Bruce Young for not revealing his daughter Billie Maxine Stone’s location. Harvey F. Sheard, Fort Worth attorney, filed in the Supreme Court for habeas corpus relief. Stone is accused of kidnapping Billie from Fort Worth to La Grange, Oregon, on August 15, and Mrs. Stone was granted a divorce. Stone reportedly said he would “rather rot in jail.”

Rum Vessel Escapes Coast Guard After Gulf Chase
New Orleans December 3 The French rum schooner Arsenal J piloted by Frank Woorf eluded Coast Guard craft after a Gulf search. Prisoners on board include J B Matthews assistant prohibition director and a Coast Guard petty officer. Farmer Hanged to Barn Rafter in Camp Creek Area
