Mrs Matilda Reeves a year-old resident of Pauls Wall Oklahoma died at her daughter's home in Mexia after a year of illness. Services are set for 9am tomorrow at the First Baptist Church with Dr E S Hutcherson officiating. Burial will follow in Pauls Valley cemetery. funeral arrangements by Riddle. Survivors include two sons J Ralph Reeves and Raymond Lo Reeves both of Oklahoma City, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was born in Alabama and was a member of the Baptist church and the Eastern Star.

The FBI announced the arrest of Sanford Lawrence Simons, a 23 year old Army rocket specialist from Denver, for stealing an extremely valuable piece of fissionable material from the Los Alamos atomic bomb laboratory in 1946.
