L D Archibald a 32 year old Fallon resident with one arm has won 54 drag trophies and hundreds in cash prizes this year and last He races on weekends at Lone Star Drag Strip Prairie Hill and Musplan g strip at Waco He lost his right arm in February 1962 yet drives a car with push button shift and uses an artificial limb to steer He argues drag racing is safer than highway speeding and notes the strip is 60 feet wide and a mile long.

Funeral services for Charlie Henderson 54 lifelong Limestone County resident were held Thursday at Union Church in Oretha Groesbeck with Rev J R Bates officiating. Burial followed in Cox Cemetery under Shelton Funeral Home supervision. Henderson a Houston native WWII veteran VFW member survived by wife four brothers and four sisters.
