Two Mexia Boys Injured in Gun Accident Saturday
Aultman and Frank, both boys, were hurt when a gun discharged at the Aultman home on East Hopkins Street Saturday morning. The bullet struck Aultman’s forefinger and lodged in Frank’s knee, hospital condition listed as serious for Frank and stable for Aultman. Local driver transported them to the hospital.

Brownwood Texas July 31. Sheriff Otis Shaw believes a newborn baby found floating in Lake Brownwood Thursday night was murdered. Autopsy showed the infant was born healthy and fully developed. Bacteria could have obscured death timing. The sheriff is pursuing three distinct leads in the case.

Nelson enlisted January 29 1944 trained at Camp Wolters Camp Fannin served with Co B 2nd Battalion I Company 5th Division infantry. He was born February 4 1925 at Mt Calm and belonged to Mt Antinch Baptist Church. Survived by parents and two brothers.

In Nuremberg on July 31 Alfred Krupp head of the Krupp Armament Works was found guilty of war crimes and sentenced to 12 years with confiscation of all property. Ten other Krupp executives were convicted with sentences up to 12 years. The court also convicted them of using slave labor and plundering Dutch and French factories.
