Watchman Dies in Ft Worth Fire at New Riley Hotel
Fort Worth April 29 J H Garrison watchman for the Santa Fe railroad burned to death in a fire that destroyed the New Riley hotel. Two firemen were slightly burned as he tried to escape and was found dead in the ruins. Miss Helen McGee died today from burns after a kerosene lamp exploded days earlier.

Ex Convict Hunted After Abduction Of Girl In Grantville
Earl Woodward, an ex convict, kidnapped 11 year old Lucille Chatterton and vanished into nearby woods. National Guard troops were called to aid a six posse manhunt with a $200 reward dead or alive. Lucille's father Walter Chatterton collapsed from exhaustion while joining the search and said he would kill Woodward on sight.

Wortham Man Is Dead in Fort Worth
C M Gibbs 55 a trinket peddler from Wortham was found shot in his hotel room in Fort Worth at 8 15 Tuesday morning. A .38 caliber pistol with one shell fired lay on the bed beside him. He died a few minutes after admission to a hospital.

Man Convicted of Wife Murder Faces Insanity Trial
