Bold murder and robbery in Dallas prompts hold four
Four Negroes were held for investigation in Dallas after the death of Ryan Adkins 30 and an attack on Mrs May Steer. The assailants robbed Adkins and beat him with pistols then forced Steer from the car and drove it down an embankment. Steer hid her jewelry in the vehicle.

Federal raid destroys large Freestone County still

Two Negroes Up On Ruma Charges
Duds Jones colored has been turned over to federal authorities on a liquor selling charge after arrest in Mexia Sunday by Police Chief Albert Mace. James Benson colored was fined 62.10 for liquor possession after promising to quit keeping it. chief Mace dropped harsher charges for good behavior.
