Mesquite school trustees will meet Monday at 7 30 pm in the School Administration Building. Dr. Ralph Poteet will present reports on financial salaries student fees transportation and the County Film Library Co Op Program. Dr. Richard Russell will receive a five year service pin.
Susie Ramer daughter of Mr and Mrs Mervin Ramer 2917 Forest Lawn Drive has been admitted into the clinical nursing program at Goshen College for the 1976 77 school year Nursing candidates are enrolled in the clinical major only after satisfactory completion of preclinical courses and upon meeting personal and health requirements established by the college Division of Nursing Goshen College is a four year liberal arts college in Goshen Indiana that has founded its nursing curriculum in both the liberal arts and Christian traditions Since the Division of Nursing was founded in 1950 97 per cent of the 616 students who graduated with the basic Bachelor of Science degree passed the state board examination on the first attempt.
Mesquite appoints James C Ragsdale district manager of Texas Power and Light as Mesquite City Chair for the United Way drive campaign chairman Sydney K Peatross announced. Ragsdale is active with the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce Industrial Committee and the Mesquite Host Lions Club and has worked in United Way campaigns in Mesquite Waxahachie Palestine and Bonham. United Way supports 62 local agencies with 164 service centers aiding one in three Greater Dallas residents. Last year Mesquite raised over 15000 for the campaign.
Mesquite Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing Monday June 14 at 7 pm in City Council Chambers. Items include a zoning amendment request by David G. Dower for a Commercial with Conditional Use for a metal building, two preliminary plats in Hillview Addition and Country Club Grove No 4, plus minutes approval and several tabled items from May 24 1976.
State Senator Ron Clower of Garland will headline the dedication of the Sign Up America Campaign at Town East Mall. The ceremony begins 7 p.m. Monday June 14 in the Grand Court with parchment scrolls signed by citizens, to be sent to President Ford on July 5, 1976.

Michael Yancey son of Mr and Mrs H D Yancey of 2300 Lovell earned a 3.81 GPA to join the Dean's Honor Roll at Texas Tech University for the spring semester. A 1975 North Mesquite graduate he majors in mechanical engineering and earned the academic distinction.
David Paul McKee of 3828 Flamingo Way received a Bachelor of Science in Radio Television Film at UT Austin at the close of the spring semester.
Jim Taylor Dan Harrell and Bob Moran of the Mesquite Water Utilities pose beside a self funded paint project at the City pump station near Rosa Belle Drive. They painted during lunch hours and weekends to honor the 1976 Bicentennial ahead of Flag Day with approval from Superintendent Bill Davidson.
