Comptroller Bob Bullock announces a Texas law allowing tax exempt religious educational and charitable groups to hold one tax free sale or auction per calendar year on a single day. If two groups collaborate neither may have another tax free sale that year. The sponsoring organization may pay the auctioneer a reasonable fee. Bullock says revenue loss to state and cities will be minimal.
