Texas A&M University senior Dwayne Webb, 22, of Pulaski New York, died Thursday in his dorm while preparing for final exams. He had recently complained of stomach and chest pains and was due to graduate December 9.
Dr. Joey M. Pirrung, Mesquite physician and Mesquite School Board president, remained in serious condition at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas after suffering a heart attack at his home around 10 p.m. Wednesday. He is treated in the hospital's heart unit.
Mesquite man James William Spivey 20 reports being robbed at gunpoint by two white men in a blue Camaro on LBJ Freeway between Military Parkway and New Market Road at 1 a.m. The victim surrendered $17 and was then dropped off. suspects described as 20 to 25 years old.

Huff also runs a physical therapy clinic in Waxahachie and is an auctioneer and horse breeder. He posted $2,000 bond and remained jailed briefly.

Eastfield College hosts a Christmas Flea Market from December 4 to December 8 in room 100 A at the Campus Center. Students and staff will display handcrafted works including macrame wood craft paintings pottery and decoupage available for purchase during daytime and evening hours.
