William Edward Hart II 29 of 12001 Elam Road was killed just before midnight in a two mile north of Highway 175 wreck in Kaufman County. Born in Dallas he lived in Mesquite and Bald Springs. He was a welder and Iron Workers Local 4 member. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Friday at Anderson Clayton Mesquite with burial Laurel Oaks. Survivors: wife Dorothy Hart and two daughters Debbie Lynn and Jeanette Marie Hart.

Four killed and one severely injured when a private Bellance plane crashed near Kansas City after takeoff for emergency landing. Victims include William F. Hensley 45 and wife Peggy, brother David 22, and infant Michelle 10 months. Norma Hensley, 21, critically hurt. Hensley owned JB's Hardware in Mesquite and had run for state representative in 1972.

Haar Brothers Kidney Transplant Brings Good News
Two Mesquite brothers, Marvin and Bobby Haar, received kidney transplants at Parkland Hospital. Bobby’s new kidney began functioning immediately. Marvin is recovering well. The family reports both patients are “doing great” as they await seasonal ticket sales for North Mesquite High Stallions and Mesquite High Skeeters.
