The Associated Press reports that the Senate asked a federal court to seize Sen. Bob Packwood s recorded diaries after a transcriber said he altered them during an ethics probe. Senate lawyers also cited improper use of government and campaign funds to pay a former secretary who transcribed the tapes.
A Dallas based pension fund investor completed the purchase of Fiesta Mall in Mesa from Fiesta Mall Venture for about 125 million. The 1.3 million square foot property will receive expansions under L&B Group which also owns Phoenixs Park Central Mall. The deal was made for public pension fund clients and endowments advised by L&B, with names not disclosed. Thomas said the prior ownerships enhancements helped performance and that further expansion could boost dominance.
