Princeton fusion reactor doubles energy output Friday night

Scientists at Princeton University doubled their record for energy output from a nuclear fusion research reactor plant Friday night. Six ground crew members were killed when an Air National Guard KC-135 exploded during refueling in Milwaukee. Supporters chanted Free Jack now as Dr Jack Kevorkian was wheeled into court to face charges of helping a 72 year old woman commit suicide.

Toros win state 5A title in a game at Sun Devil Stadium

Army to Cut 127000 Guard Reserve Jobs Over Six Years

The Pentagon announced reductions totaling about 127,000 National Guard and Reserve positions to 575,000 by end of 1999.
