Girl survives ski pole impalement at Grandparents’ home
A 10 year old girl in Little Falls Minnesota was impaled by a ski pole while playing on a snow drift with her 12 year old brother. The pole pierced part of her bowel and nicked her pancreas but she avoided injury to kidneys liver and lungs and was able to go home from hospital. Surgeon Dr George Fortier called her lucky and the grandmother spoke of miracles.
