Also Pride of Japan tea warnings and Chamberlain remedy ads plus upcoming circus in Phoenix and K of P lodge progress.
A fragment notes Pain Balm sold by J. W. Bailey for sprains and rheumatism and Chamberlain's Cough Remedy praised by Rev S A Donahoe of Pt Pleasant W Va after severe cold. Both lines mention local druggist sales.
Administratrix Yanyan Williams announces to all creditors and claimants that four months after first publication are allowed to exhibit claims with vouchers to Lehi Maricopa County Arizona for the estate of Robert L Williams Deceased. Dated October 7 1899.
The proprietors report gifting over ten million bottles of Dr King’s New Discovery for Consumption Coughs and Colds. The medicine is claimed to cure asthma bronchitis hoarseness and all throat chest and lung diseases with a guarantee or refund. J H Bartlett pharmacist offers a free trial bottle and details on regular sizes priced at 1. D P Jones departed last Wednesday for Ray Mine with a crew to lay about 390000 bricks.
JW Gardner of Idaville praises Electric Bitters as restoring strength and appetite after stomach and liver troubles and general run down feeling. He reports renewed appetite and vigor after using the product sold at d H Barnett's Drug Store. Also noted is the Arizona W. C. IT. U. convention in Phoenix continuing over two days.
The Maricopa and Phoenix line restarts Sunday trips from Mesa on June 4 and every Sunday through summer. Fares are 75 cents round trip from Mesa and 5 cents from Tempe with tickets valid only on the date of issue. Trains 6 and 7 will be canceled Sundays while a special passenger train departs Mesa at 5:00 p.m. Tempe 5:35 p.m. for Phoenix, with return from Phoenix at 10:00 p.m. Pacific time.
Newark Michigan man G B Steadman suffered ulcers from a Civil War wound for twenty years until Bucklen’s Arnica Salve cured him. The ad claims the salve heals cuts bruises burns boils felons and eruptions and promotes it as the best pile cure at 25 cents a box with a guaranteed cure, sold by J H Barnett, Druggist.
In winter 1897 James Reed, a leading Clay merchant, bruised his leg on ice and suffered swelling and pain. After doctors and various remedies failed, use of Chamberlain's Pain Balm brought almost complete relief within a week, changing his outlook on recovery.
Three weekly trips run daylight between Mesa, Florence and Globe with stops at Riverside. Service departs Mega-3 at 2 a.m. Monday Wednesday Friday, arrives Florence 11:80 p.m. then leaves 1 p.m. to Globe by 6 a.m. next day. Globe departures 7 a.m. Mon Wed Sat, reaches Florence 11 a.m. next day and returns to Mesa.
