Coffee colony in Old Mexico backed by Diaz aid
Mr McInnin formerly of Prescott visited the city returning to Pueblo Old Mexico where a two hundred strong American colony is growing coffee plantations and vanilla. Diaz facilitates a coastal wagon road and a triweekly mail, funds an American public school, and the colonists expect their first coffee crop next year as the soil yields abundant tropical fruits with no irrigation needed.
