Byron Jones, a well known Mesa resident and brother of Ed Jones, was assassinated in Jerome by a tramp barber named Dick Oroas. His body arrived in Phoenix and was sent to Jerome for burial, with Odd Fellows funeral rites held in Mesa.
After eleven days confined to his home and $25 spent on doctors in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan, Frank Doleeps reports relief from rheumatism after using a 25 cent bottle of Chamberlain's Pain Balm. Sold by druggists and medicine dealers.

They debated joining the Glendale Live Stock Association but decided to postpone naming a south side group, with many endorsing Glen dale Live Stock Association membership until a local body forms.
