Mesa and Tempe report a busy period with civic events, weddings, and upcoming entertainments. Notables like A P Showman named Neary Public by Gov Hughes, Blanche Newell and Ina Pomeroy to graduate, and plans for a large brick hall plus a Tempe Ladies Band concert.
A grand concert will be given Saturday evening June 9 1894 at Social Hall featuring the Tempe Ladies Band with Prot Max Hester. The program includes the Tempe Mandolin Guitar Club orchestra and violin solo by Prot Hester with Master Bruno Hester. all are invited.
The Common Council of Mesa City Arizona enacts a municipal tax of 100 cents per 100 dollars on all taxable property for the years 1894 and 1895. The Village Assessor will prepare and file the full assessment roll by the August deadline, post notices, allow objections, and provide appeals to the Common Council within five days. All corrections follow applicable territorial laws.
Rev J Gunderman of Dimondale Michigan writes that his wife suffered a pneumonia after La Grippe with long coughing fits. He reports the Dr King’s New Discovery worked quickly and satisfactorily. Trial bottles were offered free at J H Barnett’s drug store with regular sizes 50 cents and 1 dollar.
