Deputies Moore Peterson Low and Hansaker party searched Nogales for Gordon Hansaker who has been missing for nearly a month. Mexican authorities refused crossing for two posse members. A telegram from W E Pomeroy in Nogales said Gordon is in El Plomo Sonora. The missing ranch from which the cartl Gordon bought was stolen is in El Plomo. Families here remain anxious awaiting further word and hope for his safe return.
Preaching at 11 am and Young People’s Meeting at 7 am, Sunday School at 9 45, at the Baptist church. Miss Lillian Johnson recently arrived from the north works with B M Johnson & Bros in trimming. Ladies may call on her. For death work at reasonable rates contact Dr EF Holrook of Phoenix.
Commencing July 15 excursions to California seaside resorts depart Phoenix at five a.m. city time and arrive Los Angeles by nine p.m. same day with breakfast in Phoenix and supper in Los Angeles. The note asks why ride two hundred miles farther and points to millinery displays at B M Johnson & Bros.
Advertises trips from Vesa to Los Angeles Santa Monica and Santa Barbara departing June 17 July 1 15 and 29. Round trip fare 25.85 good for 90 days. Inquiries at the depot.
Excursion tickets from Phoenix to Yosemite and return as well as to Wawona and Mariposa Grove are on sale at the Maricopa and Phoenix office. Tickets are valid for return through November 30. Apply at the office for rates and information.
Land Office Tucson, June 5 1897 announces John L Anderson of Mesa Maricopa County has filed notice of intention to make proof in support of his claim for the west half of section 8 township 1 north range 4 east. The Clerk of the District Court Phoenix will hear July 24 1507. Witnesses John A Burkley Robert Banta Fred Werke and Willigui Irwin all of Most Arizona.
Notice from W. Corains in Phoenix Tempe and Mesa stating fare will stay the same after success in "knucking out" the railroad and that fares will not be advanced.
