Out From a Living Tomb Rescue of James Stevens at Goldfeld Mine
James Stevens was entombed for fourteen days and nights in a 125 foot level drift after a cave trapped him. Miners through solid rock drilled a new shaft, breaking through on the morning of the 17th and rescuing him. He recovered with doctors treating him and plans to rejoin his family in Colorado.
