A carload of 450 date palms including top varieties from Northern Africa arrived at the Agricultural Experiment Station after leaving Algiers on June 11. They will be fumigated by Prof. R. H. Forbes to prevent disease and planted in Tempe’s date palm orchard. In about three years cuttings may be distributed across Arizona and the Pacific Coast as investigations show Southern Arizona as a natural home for date palms. The station predicts a profitable regional industry.

Mrs Kinsler wife of Charles Kinsler of this place died last Wednesday after a period of illness. She was well known and highly respected. The funeral was held last Thursday with services conducted by J. D. George Esquire.
An 19th century ad proclaims that dull headaches, body pains, stomach sinking, loss of appetite, pimples, and pimples indicate impure blood. It touts Acker's Blood Elixir as a universal cure for free or syphilitic poisons and other blood diseases with a positive guarantee, sold by J Baily, druggist.
Notice states a dark bay horse aged about five years with brand K 8 on the left thigh in a pasture three miles southwest of Mesa City, Maricopa County Arizona. A pasturage bill of $40 is owed by an unknown owner. On Saturday July 21, 1900 at 10 o'clock a.m. the animal will be sold at the ranch to the highest cash bidder to satisfy the bill and costs.
