It covers Shiloh’s Cure, Karl’s Clover Root Tea, Hood’s Sarsaparilla promotions, and local gossip including dances, ice cream parlors, and a warning about unseemly visitors at Mesa events.
Mesa hosts a patriotic Fourth with a large turnout from town and country. The Mesa Cornet Band played excellent music as Mrs. Rose Lewis read the Declaration and Judge Way delivered an eloquent address. Vocal solo by Mrs. Nettie Johnson and an evening grand ball in Co Op hall capped the day of festivities.

Mrs E G Gregory of Fredrickstown Missouri praises Chamberlains Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy for rapid relief in a grandchilds severe bowel trouble. The note highlights maternal gratitude and notes the Chicago convention's free coinage declaration and Bryan nomination for President.
Local merchants in Koenix Arizona agree to daily store closings at 7 pm until November 1 1896 with only funeral exceptions and weekend nights open for sale. Mrs. Rhoda Noah suffered night cramping and diarrhoea until a half bottle of black berry cordial failed to help. After using Chamberlain's Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy the relief came with the first dose. A neighbor also recovered after four doses. Sale through druggists and medicine dealers.
An affidavit dated July 8 1896 from Jerr E Johnson Mesa Arizona Territory states George Leighty died at his home on July 3 after four or five days of illness and three congestive chills. He was not treated by a doctor or given medicine except a purgative before dying of congestive fever. Notary T E Pomeroy testified. Chamberlains Cough Remedy advertised for sale by druggists.
United States land office Tucson announces public sale of abandoned Fort McDowell military reservation buildings in Maricopa County Arizona. Sale opens September 22 1896 at 10 am to highest bidder at appraised value with payment due at sale. buildings must be removed within ninety days or risk forfeiture.
