The Mes a Free Press reports plans to rebuild the Nephi school building. Weather notes say one last night’s steady rain and more expected. Local items include visits from G F Lampey of Phoenix and a faith healer lecturing in town.
In the matter of the estate notice of hearing. Charles Bauer has filed for proof and probate of the will of George Bauer deceased and letters testamentary. The hearing is set for January 29, 1898 at 10 o clock in the forenoon at the court room in Phoenix Maricopa Territory. All interested persons must appear to show cause why the prayer should not be granted. Dated January 12, 1898. C W Srouse Clerk Deputy W J Scott.

Barkley of Mesa Arizona has filed notice to make final proof in support of his claim before the Clerk of the District Court at Phoenix Arizona on February 12 1898 for the lot line rope of NW Sec 1 T1 S 8 5. The Mesa Florence and Globe Stage Line operates three trips weekly with no night travel. Outbound stages depart Mesa on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday at 5 am arriving Globe next day at 6 am.
