In the Mesa valley haying progresses as Prof. Netherton visits from Phoenix. The Consolidated Canal dredgers are laid up and the Academy closed for summer. W L Hasler of Chicago visits Mesa. C L Hall returns from Mexico's mining districts. Local commerce extolls the Golden Base and Golden Rule shops, rail survey notes, lodge events, church sermons, and various notices on public meetings, health remedies, and entertainment.
8S H Clifford of New Cassle Wisconsin cured of neuralgia rheumatism and stomach troubles after three bottles of Electric Bitters. Edward Shepherd of Harrisburg Illinois healed leg sores with three bottles of Electric Bitters and seven boxes of Bucklen’s Amica Salve. John Speaker of Catawba Ohio cured of fever sores after one bottle and one box. Also a local court note: three Indians tried for killing fifteen turkeys near town, convicted and jailed.

Warns against ointments and catarrh remedies containing mercury as dangerous to mucous surfaces and the whole system. Promotes Hall's Catarrh Cure from FJ Cheney & Co Toledo Ohio as mercury free and effective, taken internally to reach blood and mucous membranes. Claims testimonials free and druggists sell at 75 cents per bottle.
Sheriff lists Jeremiah J Desmond as defendant in a Utah Arizona Territory action from 1895. The court seized the east half of Section 34 Township 1 North Range 5 East and will sell at Maricopa County Court House on May 18 1895 at 11 am for cash to satisfy a 1894 judgment plus costs.

Land Office Tucson announces that Charles W Davieson of Mesa Arizona filed intent to make final proof for Lot 4 and SW of NW Section 8 Township 1 South Range 5 East before the District Court Clerk in Phoenix on April 27, 1895. Public notice by co-owners of a one half interest in the Amazon mining claim in Maricopa County Arizona Territory warns that failure to pay fifty dollars plus fifteen dollars in costs within ninety days from February 1 1895 will forfeit their share. The claim located August 9 1893 near Mammoth Mine and Pomeroy ore mill.
An advertisement asserts Hall's Catarrh Cure cures catarrh at all stages, a constitutional disease requiring constitutional treatment. It promises $100 to anyone it cannot cure and directs readers to send for testimonials from F J Cheney & Co of Toledo, Ohio, noting it is sold by druggists.

It touts Park's Vagina Suppositories as a guaranteed cure for leucorrhea and other female weaknesses with no doctor visit, selling at 1 dollar per package by mail from the Park Remedy Co of Boston.
Phoenix students may enter at any time with board and room priced at 4.50 dollars per week. Courses offered include English commercial academic shorthand and typewriting.
A Boston based Park Remedy Co promotes obesity pills claiming permanent weight loss of 12 to 15 pounds per month without side effects. The ad promises health and beauty benefits, testimonials, and confidential correspondence, priced at $2 per package by mail postpaid.
