Letter from Pp. E. Butler of pack-train No. 3 in Santiago de Cuba dated July 23 credits Chamberlain’s Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy with saving the front line as troops lacked time for doctors. He notes diarrhoea crippling supply efforts and claims the medicine saved lives and kept the army supplying ammunition and rations during a critical rush period in the Battle of Santiago de Cuba. The note circulated to Chamberlain Medicine Co. Des Moines Iowa and was for sale by F. GC Savage.
