Eight Wolves Slain by W. C Reed in County Hunt
W. C Reed reported to the Star from Friday about a severe Thursday hail storm damaging mast on the mountains. He said he killed eight young wolves on the mountain north of his place last Thursday, tracked them four miles to their den, and brought eight scalps for a $5 bounty each. Reed claims eight wolves last year and offers wolf hunting services, saying he kills more game than any other man in the county.

That Three Legged Colt Freak Attracts City Attention
A three legged colt that previously drew comment has reappeared in the city. The animal fell and broke its neck at W. I. Gardner's livery barn. Gardner sent the skin to taxidermist C. W. Howlett in Kansas City who mounted it. Gardner now exhibits it on Sherwood Avenue with ten cents admission.

D. H. Hopkins and daughter Evel were in town Friday reporting five fine sheep dead at their home near Dallas. Hopkins says a Wednesday night electric storm struck his large barn, causing no fire or other serious damage beyond the livestock loss.
