The Opera House was filled as Mena society ladies staged the Milk Maids convention a lively drill and scene with seventeen performers in pink skirts carrying milk pails and stools. Miss Bessie Spring chaired the circle while Mrs. Joe Long opened with a vocal solo that drew warm applause. The event featured witty remarks from each participant prompting bursts of laughter.
