Heartless Crime Ends in Wife Slaying Near Sheridan

Perry Oklahoma February 25 John Covey a farmer shot and killed his wife after a domestic dispute. He had been away with a Texas trip leaving six children at home. He returned announced departure with two horses and a buggy. Mrs Covey cut a wheel nut. Covey struck her, she fought back, he retrieved a gun and killed her as children begged. Covey jailed at Kingfisher.
