Public Installation of Officers by Ouachita Tribe No 24 R M
Ouachita Tribe No 24 of the Independent Order Red Men held a public installation of officers and entertainment at Janssen park pavilion in Mena Ark Thursday night. Past Prophet J H Hawilton officiated with a creditable service. Miss Helen Ensminger Kansas City sister of Mrs C H Byers played piano, Miss Vera Langfeldt recited, and Miss Nellie Moore sang with Mrs Charles Pugh on piano. Prophet Mark Olney spoke on the organization objects and aims. Olney presented past Prophet D J Cavitt a solid gold medal with Indian head design and the inscription A Good Indian Presented to D J Cavitt by Ouachita Tribe No 24 LO R M Mena Ark July 6 1399. Cavitt expressed thanks. Bald Eagle Holden led refreshments with friendly squaws assisting.
