Sharkey Wins Easily Over McCoy in Ten Round Bout
Special to the Star New York January 11 Sharkey defeated McCoy by knockout in the tenth round after leading most of the bout. McCoy twice dropped Sharkey in the early rounds but Sharkey recovered each time. In the final round a right hand to the neck under the jaw knocked McCoy to the floor for a knockout.

The Lott road was sold under a United States court order and bought by Col. 8S. W. Fordyce and associates. Construction will resume soon with speculation about a link to the Choctaw or to the Kansas City Texas and Eastern line. Promoters are silent but advancing preparations while promising new territory for Hot Springs and Arkansas. The Ouachita Camp of the Independent Order of Red Men held a successful installation and banquet at the Opera House with over 100 guests, followed by speeches and a banquet at Hotel Mena hosted by Mr Shing and wife, indicating the organization’s strength in the city.
