From Sept 30 1917 to Sept 30 1918 the Melfort Red Cross grew in strength both financially and in membership. Sixty new life members joined, with fifty four annual members paying two dollars or more and 24 associate members at one dollar. Six shipments to Regina included 361 socks 55 pajamas 90 shirts 2 gowns 42 pillow cases 138 handkerchiefs 8 towels 30 PP bags 3 scarfs 1 sweater 12 face cloths 5 Christmas stockings valued at 602.80 dollars. Four workers Mrs J Lee Miss F Lee Mrs Slimn and Mrs W W Mansell are praised for steady work. The teas are discontinued but rooms remain open Thursdays for sewing or knitting with two machines available. Officers were elected for the coming year.
