The Holiness Movement church held a six month vote across Egypt China Ireland the United States and Canada at Otiswa court house local master John Bishop. Rev A T Warren won 58 votes to 40 for Rev Horner after a court ordered poll of qualified members. Warren resides in Killarney Manitoba and has long worked in the prairie region.

Mrs W B Pullerton hosted a Red Cross tea with Mrs S C Lavcester and Misses Marjory Fullerton and Gertie Login coordinating. Pleasant Valley Red Cross Monthly Meeting Report
Pleasant Valley Red Cross met at Mrs. Robert Wigan s home on March 15. A fair turnout despite bad roads welcomed new member Mrs H Liepert. Members reported substantial work with many housewives aided and numerous pairs of socks and housewives completed by the group and the Pleasant Valley Juniors assisting with sock making.

Campbellville Red Cross Whist Drive Caps Season
The Red Cross Society held its last whist drive and dance of the season at Campbellville School on a snowy March bed day. Mrs J Byers and Bert Irving won first prizes for whist while Miss F Edgington and Fred Pascoe took second. Bert Irving donated the cushion prize back for auction. Jack Campbell bought it for 17 dollars. Mrs Whyte returned raffle chickens sold to James Mathieson for 1200 dollars and added a 500 dollar donation. Total proceeds reached 55.45 dollars.

St Patrick’s Dance by Star City Red Cross Draws Crowd
The St Patrick’s dance organized by Star City Red Cross members on March 14 drew a large attendance. $8,900 was collected at the door and a pair of ducks donated by Dan Stemnhouse raised $600.
