Ladies' Aid Presents Free Evening of Entertainment
The Presbyterian Ladies' Aid offered a free program on Friday March 15 in the town hall. Two folk dances from the Sunday school trained by Miss Sinclair opened the show, followed by Teddy Bears skits by four boys. Dr Hawke and Mr Rodgers sang, Clift's orchestra played, and a sketch titled Old Time Ladies' Aid Business Meeting closed the evening. Cast included Mrs McIntosh Mrs Gibb Mrs Hill Mrs Gillespie Mrs Tate and Mrs Art McKee. Proceeds totaled 222.75 with the hall at capacity acknowledging the ladies' efforts.
