Weeder Reduces Labor Costs in Field Cultivation
A farm practice using a spike-tooth harrow or 12-foot weeder instead of a one-row cultivator can cut labor costs by about 40 percent and complete cultivation in one third of the time. Suitable on well-prepared ground for corn cotton potatoes and other crops, it allows multiple cultivations and earlier weed control, with careful adjustment to avoid damage to crops and to plant beds.
