Alberta Election Writs Issued for North West Territories

The Executive Council issues writs of election dated April 30 1902 directing Returning Officers in districts from Souris to Medicine Hat to hold nominations at specified local venues on the tenth of May and polls on May twenty first 1902. Nomination sites include town halls council chambers and public halls across many districts, with each officer named for the electoral district.

Men enlist for Fourth Canadian Contingent at Medicine Hat

Inspector Baker of the North West Mounted Police recruited six men for the Fourth Canadian Contingent. Donald McKay Allan Ramsay Buddo Malcolm Morrison Clark McMillan Hans Huchenden and James Ryan left Medicine Hat yesterday morning aboard a special eastbound train after a send off.
