Man Blames Unicorn In Billings Truck Crash

A Montana man Phillip Holliday 42 pleaded not guilty to felony criminal endangerment and drunken driving after a March 7 crash in Billings. He told officers a unicorn was driving. The pickup ran a red light nearly hitting another vehicle, then crashed a light pole. Bail set at 100000 with five prior DUI convictions.

MPC approves pub and eatery KC Jax Bar and Grill

Medicine Hat MPC approved a development permit for KC Jax Bar and Grill a neighbourhood pub and eatery in a vacant bay at 236 Strachan Crt 8.E The bay sits in a five bay linear shopping centre and total patron seating will not exceed 100 seats including VLTs The upper story of the vacant bay will be used as offices for the businesses.

Boy Hit by Vehicle in Brooks Elementary Road Mishap

Brooks RCMP responded to a pedestrian motor vehicle collision on Sutherland Drive and 6th Street East around 3 35 p m. A 1995 Nissan Pathfinder traveling eastbound struck a nine year old boy who ran into the road. The child was taken to Brooks Hospital with undetermined injuries. No injuries reported for occupants of the vehicle. Investigation ongoing.

Calgary to get energy efficient power system in CAMRIF plan

Calgary will receive a $20 million CAMRIF funded energy upgrade with Canada and Alberta cost sharing. The city contributes $11.8 million to the Downtown District Energy project. Phase one builds a heating and cooling plant in the downtown core, while phase two adds a CHP co generation plant farther from the centre.

New law creates panel to probe police cases in Alberta
